Ensuring Election Integrity in Iowa

We have all witnessed the disgraceful tactics of the bigger parties in Iowa, particularly during Iowa elections, as they attempt to eliminate any opponents they encounter. The major parties have realized that it is much easier to oust minor parties and independents than to compete on equal footing. Gluba for Iowa aims to streamline the process of gaining ballot access and dismantle the inequitable laws that have enabled the big two to remove any rival they perceive as a threat instead of confronting them at the polls, all while championing property rights advocacy.

Ending Eminent Domain Abuse

As many of you know, Iowa is facing a significant challenge with eminent domain abuse, particularly concerning a proposed carbon pipeline that threatens to take land from our farmers and transfer it to a private company. In the recent Iowa elections, a bill was passed by both the House and Senate aimed at ending this abuse that jeopardizes the livelihood of our agricultural community. I am committed to reintroducing that bill and signing it to bolster property rights advocacy in Iowa and put an end to the misuse of our property rights.

Cannabis

I fully support the decriminalization of cannabis and cannabis derivative products here in Iowa. The delay in allowing the sale of cannabis products has resulted in Iowa losing millions of dollars in revenue to surrounding states. With Iowans just a quick drive away from states where they can easily purchase these goods, it seems unreasonable to not permit sales within our own borders. Moreover, there's an abundance of research highlighting the positive medical effects of cannabis that can no longer be ignored. Many individuals I know personally use cannabis products to manage chronic pain or cope with mental health issues stemming from PTSD and other disorders. Some even use it simply to improve their sleep. Whatever their reasons, they should have the right to purchase these products within Iowa instead of funneling our money into other states. This aligns with my vision as Gluba for Iowa, where property rights advocacy and responsible cannabis legislation can contribute to a better future for our state, especially as we approach the upcoming Iowa elections.

Fixing Our Education

When I was going to school here in Iowa, we were number one in the nation for education. Unfortunately, we have since fallen to number 26 nationwide. Many families I have spoken to moved to Iowa for their children to benefit from our top-ranked schools. Now, they are expressing concerns about our decline, which is likely impacting the state's ability to attract new arrivals. Through various discussions, we've discovered that insufficient funding isn’t the core issue. Instead, we believe it’s essential to gather the teachers of the state—specifically, the teachers, not the bureaucrats or administration staff—and bring them to the capital to ask what they need from us as a state to restore our education system to the top. This effort aligns with Gluba for Iowa's commitment to property rights advocacy and ensuring that our education system thrives, especially as we approach the Iowa elections.

Clean Water for Iowa

The waterways in Iowa have been overlooked for far too long, and as I advocate for property rights in Iowa elections, I propose a plan to address this issue. By utilizing pre-existing infrastructure, we can significantly improve water quality and eliminate the impurities that have been diminishing it. By reallocating funds already present in the state budget towards filtration and monitoring systems, we can restore clean and navigable water in Iowa. Similar systems have been successfully implemented in other states that recognized this challenge years, or even decades, ago. It’s time for Iowa to take proactive steps and restore our water quality.

End AI surveillance

I will put a permanent end to AI monitoring systems that directly violate the fourth amendment rights of all of us living in the United States. Cities across Iowa have been misled into signing contracts with FLOCK to establish AI tracking systems that monitor the movements of anyone traveling through their streets. Other systems, like the Palantir AI monitoring system, are also being employed to track and target citizens. These systems already violate federal law, yet lapses in judgment by federal, state, county, and city leaders have allowed them to infringe on our rights. As part of my campaign for Gluba for Iowa and our property rights advocacy, I will permanently remove the ability of these systems to be used by any government authority in the state. This way, people can feel safe traveling on public roads without the fear of their every movement being tracked, stored, and monitored. This is a fundamental issue in the Iowa elections, and it is crucial to restore our rights.

Property Taxes

The property tax system in Iowa needs a complete overhaul, and as an advocate for property rights, I propose a new approach. Instead of relying on a county assessor's valuation, my plan is to base property taxes on the last fair sale purchase price of the home or property. This method ensures that the tax amount reflects a value you, as the buyer, have already agreed upon during the Iowa elections process. By setting the tax based on the sale price, it means you're being taxed on an amount that represents what the property could reasonably fetch if you chose to sell it. Additionally, this change will alleviate much of the administrative hassle of determining property tax obligations, as it will be a fixed amount. Gluba for Iowa supports these straightforward solutions for a more efficient property tax system.
